The project

Reduction of C02 emissions is the pivotal issue of our era. Partial reduction of these emissions requires individual actions that are difficult to promote or encourage. We’re trying to meet this challenge with you!
The project was born of a desire among a group of people to work actively and in concert to cut C02 emissions. That’s why we’re reaching out to you who cares deeply about the future of the planet. We contacted web influencers to get them to share their visions, show or explain the impact of some of our daily routines, as well as shine light on solutions that can help reduce our carbon footprint.

We wanted evidence-based science to light our path to avoid falling into speculation and hypotheticals. That’s why researchers and scientists were a natural fit for this initiative.

Every influencer has their own style of video production and communicating ideas. Researchers at the University of Geneva are tracking the impact of this varied content on the public to determine what the most engaging messaging and approaches are about sustainability and energy transition.

Why this project ?

Influencers paired with researchers will teach you about daily actions that emit the most CO2.2.

They’ll provide concrete solutions to help you with the impact of your carbon footprint.

At the same time, with the University of Geneva researchers, we will move toward best practices in energy transition communication to ensure that the messages on the theme have the greatest impact.

The project in progress

Season 1 of Co2nséquences ended in August 2022 with over 2 million views for the project. Season 2 began on November 23rd 2023.

The project also lives on through conferences and talks. Nous Prod presented the project and the linked study (University of Geneva) at the World Biodiversity Forum in Davos (June 28th 2022), at the 3rd CLIMACT participatory meeting (June 8th 2023) - this one under the Science-Media banner - and will also be presenting the project at the Swiss Polar Days on September 15th.
